Bill's formative years were spent with a guitar instead of a camera, but eventually photography became his mode of expression. His atmospheric photos balance art and documentary and search for the essence of people and places. Recent work includes features on Washington DC and Paris, and an ongoing personal project on post-communist Eastern Europe.
