Almost all agricultural lands in Malwan with this year’s harvest of wheat and chickpeas have been washed away. In many areas the topsoil is now gone. The higher mountain slopes overgrazed by goats were more vulnerable to the increasingly extreme weather. Landslides have caused huge damage to the infrastructure across the district.
